Wedding Traditions the Old and the New

Some wedding couples choose not to participate in old wedding traditions they want something that is modern and new on their special day or at least for some of the traditions anyway.

Old traditions called for the father of the bride to walk his daughter down the aisle, wedding guests to throw rice at the couple after the ceremony and the couples to utter the words love, honor and obey during their ceremony.  In today's weddings we see the mom's as well as dad's walking their daughter down the aisle, wedding guests throwing birdseed or flower petals, and couples personalizing their wedding ceremony by writing their own wedding vows.

Wedding planning ideas use to come from creative family, friends and magazines and now they can be found online at the click of the couples fingers on places such as pinterest weddings and by goggling wedding planning blogs.

Brides will still find traditional guests book for their guests to sign but they will also find non traditional wedding guest books alternatives such as the Story of Us and the message in a bottle time capsule.

Brides do not have to think twice about carrying a pretty seashell bouquet or rustic silk flowers or having burlap decorating wedding reception tables. The traditional fresh flower centerpieces will always be in style but new trendy and fun styles have allowed for more options for the modern bride and groom to select from.
